British and German police are cooperating to ensure a safe Euro 2024 for England fans. Reportedly, Serbian hooligans are targeting the opening Group C match between England and Serbia. The chief of police in Gelsenkirchen, where the match will be held, anticipates around 500 hooligans causing trouble. Despite this, the UK’s Football Policing Unit reassured that measures are in place to support safe travel for England fans. Both German and English police forces are working together and have designated the match as high-risk. Around 2,000 banning orders are currently in place for England fans.
